Satoshi Nakamoto is the ubiquitous and mysterious creator of Bitcoin. Satoshi Nakamoto authored the bitcoin white paper and was active in Bitcoin’s development until December 2010, when he posted his final message on the bitcointalk.org forums.
Satoshi’s identity remains a mystery until today, with several individuals having claimed or speculated to be Nakamoto himself. Nakamoto possibly owns around 1 million Bitcoins, but others believe this is unlikely due to Nakamoto’s desire for a fair launch. The majority of Satoshi-era wallets continue to stay dormant, and his/her identify remains unknown.
